AUTUMN OPEN CALL 2022

NOW OPEN TO APPLICATIONS

ARTIST RESIDENCY, KYPSELI PRINT STUDIO

10 Sporadon, Kypseli, Athens, 11361, Greece

KPS is a fully equipped screen printing studio in a central district of Athens and would like to invite applications from artists who have experience with silk screen printing to work in the space for two months in September & October 2022. KPS is interested in working with artists who wish to develop their practice, and who would benefit from the stimulus of being in new surroundings and have uninterrupted access to a workshop to enable experimentation.

The residency fee is 480 Euros per month, which gives you access to a large silk screen workshop and a studio space on the mezzanine.  Accommodation is not provided but KPS is happy to draw upon its local network to help you find somewhere to stay. KPS is looking to host up to two resident artists. A full workshop induction is provided at the beginning of the residency. You are encouraged to host an open studio event at the end of your stay. KPS will offer promotional assistance via its social media platform, connecting you to the local Athenian art scene.

To apply please fill in the application form and send your CV along with a portfolio of between 5 -10 images that reflect the nature of the work you would like to make here. Include any links to online material: website, Instagram etc.

There are two rounds to the application process. Successful artists in round one will be asked to attend a Zoom interview to discuss their project proposal.

Successful applicants will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline.

Deadline: Sunday 8th May, midnight (GMT + 2)

Send all material to Eleanor Lines - kypseliprintstudio@gmail.com

Successful applicants will be chosen on the basis of their body of work, CV and project proposal.

Upon acceptance of the residency, the artist will be required to pay 50% of the fee to secure their place at KPS.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
